Rundgänge des Nachtwächters Schaurig schön – der Klassiker

Witzig, pointenreich, aber auch nachdenklich stimmend sind die Geschichten unseres alteingesessenen Nachtwächters. Er beleuchtet auf seinen abendlichen Rundgängen durch die historische Altstadt das mittelalterliche Leben in Weil. Höhepunkte sind die Begehung der Stadtmauer und die Besichtigung des Verlieses im Roten Turm.

Der Treffpunkt für den Rundgang am Freitag, 22. August um 21 Uhr, ist unter den Rathausarkaden am Marktplatz in Weil der Stadt. Die Dauer beträgt in etwa 2 Stunden. Erwachsene bezahlen 7 Euro, Kinder bis 14 Jahre sind frei.

An english guided tour: History comes alive

Let us take you on a stroll across the former Free Imperial City where the past is all around you: city walls, fortified towers, the mighty Catholic parish church of Sts. Peter and Paul, birthplace of both the astronomer Johannes Kepler and the Protestant reformer Johannes Brenz. Visit the historic market square with the town hall and the atmospheric chapel of the former hospital and learn all about the annual tradition, we are famous for – Fasnet (Carnival).

The meeting point for the tour on Sunday, May 24th at 2 pm is under the town hall arcades at Marktplatz 4 in Weil der Stadt. The duration is approximately 1,5 hours. Adults pay 7 Euro, children up to 14 years are free.
